About Us
We are Diane and Dave Boone from the Sacramento Valley in California. We have been devoted for over 35 years to owning, breeding, and showing healthy, quality bred Shih Tzu that are well socialized.
We specially plan each breeding to select a puppy to show...the remaining wonderful puppies become available to loving pet companion homes with follow-up support provided so that our puppies have the best possible start in life.
We have had dogs all of our life. Diane grew up with the German Shepherd breed and enjoyed showing them when in high school. She took time away from the dog world during college and in her early teaching years, then fell in love with the Shih Tzu breed in the mid 80's when two matted flea bitten orphans arrive at our doorstep.
Their disposition was so sweet we took pity on them, cleaned them up, took them to the veterinarian, and found them both wonderful homes. We were hopelessly infatuated and decided to get our first Shih Tzu show dog.
To further our pursuit we joined the local Golden Gate Shih Tzu Fanciers club. In 1988 we joined the national American Shih Tzu Club (ASTC), a parent club to the American Kennel Club (AKC). They provided great seminars and fabulous information that profoundly influenced our breeding program. Notably, the seminars presented by Dr. W. Jean Dodds, DVM of the Hemopet organization was a great discovery. To avoid as many breeding obstacles as possible, we have consistently tested our breeding stock. To date we have finished well over 20 Shih Tzu and 4 Chihuahua.
We are now retired and live on acreage in Northern California. We continue to enjoy traveling to dog shows in our dog friendly motor home. We have had many exciting adventures and made many friends along the way.
